WHO WE ARE

Our Story

In 1972, Ramnik Parmar immigrated to Canada from Uganda with only three dollars in his pocket and established Wheatland Machine Shop in Swift Current just four years later.

Today, Vim Parmar, Joe Lorenzino, and Wade Carlson own what has become a notably larger operation which proudly employs close to 18 full-time staff members.

We provide quality service to the oil & gas, construction, industrial and agricultural sectors across Saskatchewan. With a talented and dedicated staff, they are an energetic company that is willing and able to tackle the toughest of jobs. Wheatland Machine Shop embraces new technologies and has become a leader in their industry.

Wheatland Machine Shop is a company that believes strongly in community service. Our ongoing membership and involvement in groups and organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce, Kinsmen, Great Plains College and Swift Current's Environmental Advisory Committee, to name a few, is our way of giving back to the community.

Wheatland Machine Shop is certified with the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB), which allows them to partner in such large scale projects as Cypress Regional Hospital, I-Plex Expansion and Renovation, and Living Sky Casino.
